I absolutely love all of Darrell Maloney’s books! Of course as one of my favorite authors his books are also available under Kindle Unlimited. (Read all about Kindle Unlimited here).
I started with his “Final Dawn” series, then his “Countdown to Armageddon”, then to my favorite “Alone”. His “Red” series branches off from his Alone series so don’t start that series until the character of Red is introduced in the Alone book #2 or #3. “Ranger” is similar but it is a break off of the Countdown to Armageddon series (I think it was book 6 or 7 when we meet the Texas Ranger).
Here are the first books of each series:
Darrell has dozens of books in the above series, but other books also. Check out his Amazon Author page.
I think the reason that the Alone Book #1 was my favorite (well after all the crying and whining in the beginning, don’t give up on it, keep reading) was because it had so many great Prepper tips. I really liked the screws through the fence board tip, LOL. I was a bit frustrated at all the water boiling. I would have used my All American Sun Oven with WAPI indicator to purify the rain water after filtering. The WAPI device comes with the Sun Oven Preparedness Package, but if you buy the basic package or have another type of solar oven, you can purchase the WAPI alone. There are also packs of two, or a pack of three option so you can pasteurize more than one container of water at a time.
But I digress, sorry. We can all nit pick about how we would do things differently in an emergency, but that is the beauty of reading Prepper fiction, we get other view points and tips.
To wet your appetite even more, here are the second books in each series:
Hidden (Final Dawn) (Volume 2)AFTER THE DUST SETTLED (Countdown to Armageddon Book 2)An Unkind Winter (Alone Book 2)A Whole New World: Ranger: Book 2Too Tough To Tame (Red) (Volume 2)Alone (5 Book Series)
I highly recommend adding Darrell Maloney’s books to your reading list and following him on Amazon so you get notified of new books when they are released. I would love to do a review of each of his books along with all the others I have read, but not enough hours in the day. I will have to check to see if there is a way to search for reviews that I have done on Amazon. They are listed as WMH Cheryl of course. If any of you are Amazon wizards, let me know and maybe I can figure out how to link to them here.
